The analysis of post-collapse ecosystems deserves more attention than it typicaly gets. Most coverage stops after the scheme falls apart, but you're right that teh second wave of harm through "helper" organizations can be just as dangerous. I've seen family members get caught in recovery scams after losing money initially, and the pattern recognition here is spot-on. The distinction between insider experience and actual independence is something I dunno enough people scrutinize before trusting post-collapse authorities.
